WHAT ARE THE ISSUES FOR AS AND A2 STUDENTS?

It will be helpful if students can

• Understand what sustainability is and how it has been defined
• Understand that the world is not a sustainable place now and think about how it could become more sustainable
• Understand commonly used terms like climate change, greenhouse effect and pollution and how designing, making, using and consuming relate to those terms
• Understand the meaning of terms commonly used in exam board syllabuses - environmental, economic, social/cultural, moral/ethical sustainability and whether or not we can differentiate between them.
